Easterseals VT’s Over the Edge fundraising event was a great success!
On Saturday, July 20, a crowd gathered around the North Barre Manor, one of the tallest buildings in the state, to watch 31 brave participants rappel for Vermont neighbors. Thanks to the contributions of sponsors, supporters, and participants, the event raised $22,000, benefiting Easterseals VT’s programs and services for children, youth, and families.

One of our young clients, Reid, and his grandmother Debra, recently benefited from life-changing support and services through Easterseals Vermont’s Post Permanency Support Services, which serves families formed by adoption or guardianship in an effort to help meet the child’s needs, increase family stability, and locate community resources.

Being There for Dawn & Kayden
Seven years ago, Dawn was posed with the biggest decision of her life when her son’s ex-girlfriend approached her, telling her she was pregnant and unsure what to do unless Dawn wanted to adopt the child. Dawn was her grandchild’s only hope, with neither parent able to care for him at that time.
