Easterseals VT’s Annual Over the Edge Event Raises More Than $30,000

Barre, VT, July 29, 2025 – Recently, community members, supporters, friends, and families of Easterseals VT gathered around the North Barre Manor, one of the tallest buildings in the state, to witness rappelers bravely descend the eleven-story building to benefit Vermont neighbors. Over the Edge is Easterseals VT’s annual fundraising event, where participants raise a minimum of $1,000 to support Easterseals VT.

The event raised over $30,000, all of which will directly provide financial assistance to address essential and urgent needs, strengthen Vermont families with children in state custody, support at-risk youth, and create opportunities for parents and children to heal and thrive in our local communities.

Since the first year of the event in 2022, the Barre Housing Authority has served as the building sponsor and a crucial supporter in hosting the event. “We are proud to partner with Easterseals VT and host Over the Edge. It really is a wonderful event, and residents of the North Barre Manor enjoy it as well,” shared Jaime Chioldi, Executive Director of the Barre Housing Authority.

Easterseals VT is grateful for the support of everyone involved who contributed to making the event a success, including volunteers, donors, staff, and sponsors. Individuals and businesses interested in supporting Easterseals VT’s mission may send donations to Easterseals VT, 14 North Main Street, Suite 3004, Barre VT 05641, or contribute online at https://eastersealsvt.org/donate-now/.
